Tis the Season!  Yes, the cold and flu season!  LOL…As a Pre-K teacher, I know how much kids love to share their germs!  Boiron has created a great tasting homeopathic cough syrup for your little ones.  Instead of working as a suppressant, the Children’s Chestal works WITH your child to help heal.  It loosens chest congestion, as well as coats the throat with sweet purified honey based syrup.  And it’s non drowsy, so your sweetie can still play the day away!

Bioron’s Mission is “To stimulate the evolution of healthcare by promoting scientific homeopathy as a more compassionate, more ecological and more comprehensive approach to medicine and to allow every physician to know homeopathy and integrate it into their daily practice.”

I think we need to give our bodies a chance to heal before we pump them full of medicine.  If we need it, we need it, but for minor coughs and things of that nature, why not try a natural route?

Active Ingredients

The letters HPUS indicate that these ingredients are officially included in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States.

Cool, yes?
Little Man and Kamikaze both tried the Children’s Chestal out- I waited to review this until they had coughs, so I could tell you honestly what I thought.  They both liked the flavor, and I liked that it didn’t make them all hazey.  (You know your kids will get at least one bout of coughs this year- be prepared!  LOL)
Kamikaze felt better pretty quickly, while Little Man took about 2 days.  No fevers, though.
Here is some great caregiver info-

“Homeopathic medicines are one of the safest choices for self-treatment. They have no known side effects including drowsiness. Nor do they interact with other medication or contraindicate pre-existing conditions.”

Additionally, because homeopathic medicines do not mask symptoms, doctors and patients can easily detect and respond to symptoms of serious illnesses should they arise. For these reasons, homeopathic medicines are an ideal first choice for parents, children, seniors, busy professionals, drivers, equipment operators, athletes, and others.

OK, want to try a bottle of Children’s Chestal?  Here is how to win.

  1. Pei Pa Koa (www.geocities.jp/ninjiom_hong_kong/index_e.htm ) is one of the few Chinese natural cough remedies that have been scientifically studied. it’s something like herb plus honey, and it’s sweet, thick and black in color. If you have a cough, look for it! It used to be one of my favourite natural cough remedies.

if your cough persists, seek professional help such as traditional Chinese medicine physicians – I have had very good experiences with them.
