Welcome to November, Bloggy Buddies! My Holiday Gift Guide is ready and willing to serve you! Love my new cute little button? Hehe….

So, I am pleased to announce my very first Holiday Gift- The PROFESSOR BARRISTER’S DINOSAUR MYSTERIES series!

As most of you know, I am a teacher and graduate student, as well as a mommy. I read A LOT of children’s books. I love, love, love this series. The author, Stephen Penner, also illustrates these fun and informative books about dinosaurs. What kid doesn’t love dinosaurs? My school has a full week on them, and during both “review” weeks of the year, the kids always, always choose dinosaurs as a go-to topic.
I so love that these books are not just a great read, but they also teach your child as they are reading. And in a fun way! You guys have read my book reviews- if I hate it, you know it! But I cannot say enough good things about the Dinosaur Mystery Series.
After reading book #2: The Case of the Armored Allosaurus (review can be read HERE) I ordered book one, #1: The Case of the Truncated Troodon.

When Dinosaur week comes up again, you know I’ll be bringing these books to school with me- the kids LOVED books one and two last time.
So, what is Professor Barrister’s Dinosaur Mysteries #3: The Case of the Enormous Eoraptor (just released!) all about?

Professor Barrister thinks he’s discovered a new dinosaur species, but third grade dino-experts Nate and Emily aren’t so sure. They think his new fossil just looks like an enormous Eoraptor, one of the first dinosaurs ever. To learn who’s right they travel back to the Triassic period where they will need to be on the look out for not just dinosaurs, but also the other monstrous predators that lived back at the Dawn of the Dinosaurs! Third in the popular series, with nineteen color drawings.

It’s so adorable. These precocious kids, Nate and Emily, help a professor figure out to whom this fossil belongs. Along the way, of course there are many dinosaur facts to be discovered. My daughter loved to read it, and the Pre-K kids loved being read to! We have a few (ok, more then a few!) Dino-heads in class, so they were enraptured. I left the books at school last time- risky at a Pre-School, I know!- and they apparently got the PM aid to re-read them after I left for the day.
Did you know that Stephen Penner, author and illustrator, is currently one of top 20 most viewed authors on http://www.PublishersMarketplace.com? and that Professor Barrister’s Dinosaur Mysteries are now part of the Barnes&Nobel “Kids Club”? This means discounts & free express shipping on the books, YAY! http://bit.ly/cqmVPs

Ok, I made this my first review for a reason. Check it out! You will get your kids a million cute stuffed animals, adorable outfits, and fun toys. I will, too! That is something we all love about the holidays- getting to spoil our kids, lol. And that is why I love the gift guide- it shows the best of the best of great products! But here is something different, that your child will love, have fun with, and will have for way longer then his fabulous new shirt or her new teddy bear. Knowledge. And bonding time! You guys will have fun reading this together. Happy Holidays, from Have Sippy Will Travel!
