While I am on the topic of taking time, why don’t we head on into another similar topic? Time for you and your significant other. There is never a better time to connect then the present! (And speaking of presents, why don’t you give them one they will remember? Head on over HERE and take a look, see what you think may tickle his/her fancy!) Spending time with your spouse or significant other is crucial to both of your happiness, which is crucial to the well being of your marriage/relationship. You need the time to be in love, without baby bottles, ninjas, or princesses. Yes, those sweet little angles of yours need 90% of your time, and you are happy to give it. But take a few minutes for you, alone, and a few for your better half once in a while, too.
A gentle touch means so much. Maybe you can even get a babysitter- go nuts! You may be surprised at your family and friends willingness to help- they had kids, too- they know what it is to need a break! Or a friend may be willing to “swap” nights- you watch my kids this night, I’ll watch yours that night- and in this way, you both have a night off!
The holidays can be one of the most stressful times of the year. Remember to take time for each other, now and always. (And maybe this is a great time to surprise them with a special gift- you, all wrapped up in a lovely “bow”!)
I hope you do, and I hope this finds you in a relaxed frame of mind. If not, go unwind. You deserve it!
