All Aboard! Dinosaur Train, coming on through! That’s right, just in time for the Holidays, comes a fabulous line of toys from the edu-taining hit show, Dinosaur Train! (haha, I made up a word!)
Have you seen the show! If you have a PreSchooler, I am sure you have, and with good reason. This show is fun, adorable, and educational! That’s right, your kids can learn about something! (Good reason to let the TV run and give you a minute to make dinner in peace!) Now you know by now I am a picky momma when it comes to my kids and the TV. However, Dinosaur Train is a super show. It also has a great set of values- friendship, family, and kindness, as well as the value of education and valuing the differences in others. Not a fast runner? That’s OK, you fly really well! You can’t fly? Woah, but your teeth are really great! Another aspect I like? Buddy is an adopted member of his family. As an adoptive mom (as well as a biological mom, just like Buddy’s momma!) I really appreciate that aspect. There are not many shows out there that make adopted kids feel part of the “pack”, and for that, Dinosaur Train, this mommy salutes you!
Dinosaur Train has a really great set of toys out right now. We were sent Dino Fun Buddy to review, and he is just too cute!

With Dino Fun Buddy, dinosaur play gets taken to the next level! This adorable dinosaur figure comes dressed in a Jr. train conductor’s uniform and includes a large watch face on his belly that acts as the info center. Insert any one of the 15 dinosaur information tickets into Buddy’s clock to trigger different phrases and dinosaur facts. When playtime is over, the train tickets store inside the backpack attached to Buddy’s back. With more than 120 dino details and phrases, Dino Fun Buddy is as much fun as he is factual.
I love the dino facts, and the cute little pack to keep all the cards in. I just hope that Little Man and Kamikaze keep all the fun cards in the pack, so we don’t end up with them all over the house! (Sigh. Kids!) So far, so good! Buddy is a good size, and a perfect pal for car trips and going to grandma’s. I can’t wait to bring him for Dinosaur week at the Pre-K, he is going to be such a hit!

I must now make a confession, bloggy buddies. I bought Little Man a toy. I almost never do this, and I swore I wouldn’t! I don’t make a ton of impulse buys, I swear, LOL. But, I had a gift card, and well….he saw the Dinosaur Train Motorized Train Set. And he begged. Like, hardcore, but not in a whiny way, know what I mean? And like a poorly executed cake, I caved. I know, I know. Bad. But on the plus side- I get to review it for you!

Vehicle fun goes prehistoric with this Motorized Dinosaur Train Set! With a motorized engine leading the way, this train set includes multiple prehistoric destinations familiar to fans of Dinosaur Train and more than 12 feet of track to create your own dinosaur adventures! It also includes three collectible dinosaur figures and the three car train, which features the same look as the series’ real Dinosaur Train.
It’s adorable. I for some reason thought it was a wind up- clearly it says it is not- and it isn’t, LOL. It takes batteries, so make sure you have them handy! The train itself is super cute, and comes with Buddy, Laura, and the Conductor. It has about 8 feet of track, and these easily snap together, even for a 3 year old. The cardboard cutouts didn’t last long- Little Man looked at me, and tore them right in half. Why? I have no idea. But it’s his loss, I can’t do anything about that! The little station is also really cute. He and Kamikaze played with it the whole weekend long, pretty much all day everyday. They also insisted on using their allotted TV time 2 days in a row for Dinosaur Train and acted out the show with the toys. (They used other dinosaurs for the other characters, but Little Man is begging “Santa” for “Tiny” for Christmas, so we shall see….I said I was done shopping! AHHHH!!!!) They have all sorts of characters you can get little add on train sets with, like “Tiny” and other favorites.
