Have you ever been disgusted with the dolls on the market today? I know I have. So had been mom Jodi Norgaard when she decided to start up her own line of Go! Go! Sports Girls.
“I realized there was a need for a positive doll for girls that would be age appropriate, proportioned properly and send a positive message about a healthy lifestyle – physically, mentally and emotionally – through sports.”

So many dolls in today’s market have unhealthy body types, are too thin, have super long legs or large chests, wear awful and revealing clothes, have peircigns, etc. Not images I really want for my 6 year old, thanks. She does not need any more pressure on her then she already has. As adults, we are constantly bombarded by images and campaigns to be thin, beautiful, have shiny hair, perfect chest, fashionable clothes, etc. Our daughters feel that, too. Why let thier toys put pressure on them?

My Kamikaze was sent Softball Sam to review. She loved it. Kamikaze was so excited when Sam got here. Sam has a backpack full of softball fun, she is all ready to go play! Best part? She looks like a kid! Nothing unhealthy there! And you can choose a vairety of skin tones and sports to find what fits your daughter the best. That’s aweosme, in my opinion.

This fun and appropritae doll will be finding it’s way into quite a few gift boxes this year, I think. Make sure you check the website for all the varieites avalable- there is something for everyone!
By the way- these dolls just won 3 awards – Dr. Toys 10 Best Socially Responsible Products, PAL Award for promoting language development, and Nickelodeon’s Top Toys 2010. Tall order for a doll! Must be something! Check it out!
