Who loves being nauseous? Anyone? Not I! As a migraine sufferer, one of the things that can be the worst is the nausea that accompanies them. Reeds RX Natural Soda is made to combat nausea naturally. It is even safe for pregnant women (oh where were you 4 years ago, Reeds RX?) and children.
As luck would have it (or not! LOL) the day that the Reeds RX came, I was having an horrific migraine. I was vomiting, I was shaking, the whole 9 yards. I was laying in the bathroom on the floor when my husband came in to tell me I got a package. I’m thinking- and I care because why? He sits there, telling me what mail came, blah blah blah- I was too sick to tell him to be quiet and go away- and then he tells me that the package has Red Bull in it. I’m thinking “What? Red Bull?”
And he tells me, “oh, no- wait- it says Reeds Natural something, I don’t know, anyway”…
I shot my hand out and told him to give me one. He thought I was losing my mind, but I just left my hand out, so he gave it to me. (They do look a bit like Red Bull cans, haha)
The taste was terrible to me, I’m not going to lie. And it coated my whole mouth, tongue, and throat. I didn’t finish even half the can, just a few sips.
But- I felt better. And I stopped throwing up after about 20 minutes.
OKOK, I thought it was a fluke.
So, I left a can at work, and the rest at home. Two days ago, it was coming on. Migraine, complete with nausea. Took my meds. Nothing, it’s still coming, even a half hour later. Took more- stronger, and the anti-nausea medication. Nope, it’s still coming. I don’t want to take the shot, because I’m working, and it really makes me tired and a bit out of it. But I’m going to throw up. It’s coming, I can feel it. Anyone who gets migraines knows this feeling- you just KNOW. For me, once I’m vomiting, I’m a lost cause. I can deal with the migraine until the throwing up comes. Then…..not so much.
I grabbed the can, looked at it suspiciously (like it was going to bite me, LOL) and thought OK, lets see what you can do! Again- ugh! That taste! Blech! Didn’t take more then 3 sips- not only do I really hate the taste, but I’m really fighting that gag reflex at this point. But again, you know what? In 10 minutes, I felt better. And I never did throw up.
So, bad taste or no- it works. My mom says the medicine just kicked in- but I know my body. It was not the meds, they were lost on me by that point. Both times I drank the Reeds Rx Natural Soda, I either stopped vomiting or never stared.
Reed’s Rx
Ginger is a traditional herbal tonic for nausea. It has been in use in certain parts of the world for thousands of years. The earliest writings from China and India talk about ginger and its health promoting properties. Other cultures throughout history, including the Roman Empire, have used ginger extensively to settle stomach complaints. More recently, Vitamin B6 is being used for its anti-nausea properties. Reed’s Natural Ginger Nausea Relief uses both fresh ginger root and B6 to help alleviate nausea naturally.
I’ve had migraines since I was 9. I know them, we are old enemies. All the medicines I dump into my body every day would make your head spin. And they don’t always work. If the Reeds works even half the time, I’m a new buyer.
When you are sick, with the flu, with morning sickness (who ever thought of that term, anyway? ALL DAY sickness, LOL) with migraines, car sick, anything! I would totally try this.
If you want to have some on hand for your family, you can get some HERE– don’t forget the coupon!
