Got Pirates on the Brain? A Totally Twisted Review

With all the Pirates of the Caribbean whhhoooo-ha!  and not to mention it was hard to resist- being as “Twisted” of a scavenger as I am…but I love this costume.  Perfect!  (And really- who doesn’t love a good pirate costume?)

Last year’s Halloween party at the Pre-k was so much FUN!  Little Man was Iron Man, the kids all looked adorable, and I….didn’t have a good costume to wear.  LOL.  I have a few costumes, but, none that I would wear to a PreSchool.  One is too expensive (medieval garb, and was really, really expensive- did I say REALLY enough?) so there was no way I was going to let the kiddos near that one while I am schlepping sippy cups of bright red juice and chocolate candy.  No way.  One is from my “former life” with my former body…doesn’t fit (yet!)
So….I kind of patched one together.
This year, I am going to look fab for the party- and appropriate! Wholesale Costume Club  has tons of costumes, and I love that they come in a variety of sizes.  For those of us above a size 8, one size never “Fits All”.  I so hate that!  I’d rather see the plus size costumes then try to squeeze into something that just isn’t going to happen.  Or, if you have a chest, good luck finding something that fits, that doesn’t make you look quite…inappropriate.  Lets go with that.

I’m a mom!  I don’t want to look trashy, for pete’s sake.  I DO want to look good and have fun, and I don’t have a ton of cash to blow.  (Sound like anyone you know?)
This is where this fab Pirate Lady Plus Size Costume for Women comes into play- they have so many costumes to choose from, you will have an easy time finding exactly what you like, that you will look great in, without breaking the bank.  That’s a tall order!  But it can be filled- just stay out of those local warehouse costume stores, you will just drive yourself insane.  I wish I had known about this place  years ago- even in high school, when I was young(er!) and fit, it was hard to find things that fit and didn’t look trashy.
This pirate costume fits like a glove, and I was pleasantly surprised.  If you are any larger then a size 18 or so, I would for sure get the bigger size, regardless of what the size chart says.  It fit me well- and there was not tons of room.  I am currently between a 12 and 14.  I do have a very, very large chest- so that is something to consider- it may fit you differently if you are shaped more like an average human, rather then wonder-chest weirdo, LOL.
Keep the Wholesale Costume Club in mind for all your costume needs- we are going to be using lots of costumes for our “Graduation Ceremony” at the PreSchool this June (we do themes), and I made sure to tell the parents all about it and their sister sites.  I have had great experiences, and would recommend them to anyone.  Great prices, large variety, many sizes, fast shipping, easy web navigation, and overall a great shopping experience.
