Okay, so not every man on the planet loves to golf or drink beer. And yet, when you hop on Google to search “gifts for him” these are almost certainly the majority of items you’ll find (although tools are another biggie, as are ties). However, there are plenty of gift options that will appeal to just about every guy on the planet, even those that don’t swing a club, guzzle a brew, tinker with plumbing, or work in a professional office setting. So if you’re looking for the perfect gift this year for the man who seems to have everything, here are five that are sure to wow him.
-
Kindle Fire. This is the “it” gift of the year and absolutely everyone will find something to love in this amped-up e-reader. It may not have all the bells and whistles of a tablet, but it has a handy touchscreen, provides easy access to Amazon’s library of books, music, and movies, and comes with 5GB of free cloud storage space. And at $199 it’s a lot more affordable than some.
-
Charging at home and on the go. If you’re tired of finding devices charging all over the house and your hubby is constantly trying to recall where he left this gadget or that one as he heads out the door, make everyone’s life easier with a charging pad (like Duracell’s MyGrid) so that all he has to do is drop his devices in one place for wireless charging. And if an overnight charge isn’t enough and he’s constantly looking for a free outlet to power up his electronic gadgets, help him out with a sunny alternative. Voltaic offers one of the best solutions on the market with their clip-on solar panel that can be attached to several different types of bags (it can easily go from a shoulder pack to a messenger bag with just a few clips).
-
A new TV. What guy doesn’t love to kick back, relax, and watch a hockey game or a new episode of Fringe? Get your man the gift of mindless entertainment this year with a brand new LED TV. The light emitting diodes that give this “tube” its moniker not only provide a clear, bright picture; they also use a lot less energy than both their plasma and LCD competitors. So even if you spend a little more initially, you stand to save on your utility bill in the long run.
-
A new wallet. Have you noticed that most men will use a wallet until it is falling apart at the seams? Luckily, this means you always have a ready gift idea. And there are plenty of options. The Slimmy Wallet is not only made from high-quality, durable leather, it boasts the slimmest profile on the market (although there is no guarantee against added bulk!). The Rogue Wallet is also an interesting choice since it’s shaped to fit in a front pocket (with a curved edge). And then there’s the Dunhill Biometric Wallet. At over $800 it’s definitely spendy, but considering it is biometrically coded to open only for your man’s fingerprint (and its carbon-fiber shell is well-nigh impenetrable), it’s certainly a one-of-a-kind gift.
-
A new watch. If you’re tired of frequenting the Cartier Watch Repair shop, perhaps it’s time for a timepiece that’s a little more lasting (and affordable). The Citizen Eco-Drive collection features a variety of sharp and sporty wrist-wear for the man on the go. And the best part is that this ticker runs on solar power, so you’ll never have to take it in for a replacement battery. With a price range that runs about $100 to $300 you’ll get a nice gift that won’t break the bank – and every guy can use a watch!
These are great ideas. I did get him a new wallet for his birthday. I wish that I could afford to get him a new TV!

Thank you for thinking about the hubbys (hubbies)?. My husband’s birthday is right after Christmas so it’s like a double whammy of finding something for him. I always see something during the summer and then either don’t buy it then, or even worse yet, forget what it was, and then I’m struggling at the last minute. My own fault , I know. So your suggestions were so welcomed!
Happy Holidays!
Good ideas, thanks!
Truly a good list to consider
