Last year, storyapp author, Gerry Renert, honored the anniversary of the surviving brave search and rescue dogs of 9/11 by giving away his BRAVE ROONEY kid’s storyapp. Renert’s intent was also to start the conversation – – among dog owners — about just how courageous dogs can be in defending their masters, and how it almost seems they have a special sense in knowing they’re needed to help human beings. Many dog owners wrote on Mr. Renert’s Facebook page with brief, touching recounts of courageous dog deeds, some even involving their children. Right now and until January 30, Mr. Renert again wants to hear from dog owners with more mentions of canine bravery. This time, he’s giving away five free BRAVE ROONEY storyapps for the iPhone or iPad and one free personalized dog bowl, designed by award winning pet artist and ceramic designer, Debby Carman. The ceramic bowl will have the winner’s pooch on the bottom of the bowl, portrayed as a superhero. To enter, go to Mr. Renert’s Facebook page <http://www.facebook.com/gerryrenert.author>. All winners will be selected randomly. Event ends on January 30.

BTW: If you don’t have an iPhone or iPad and are interested in reading BRAVE ROONEY, you can read it as an ebook on MagicBlox, a kid’s online book library <http://magicblox.com/books/brave-rooney>
