Every time we go to the board walk or even the flea market for that matter, there is a mandatory look at the cheap jewelry table/shop. These stores specialize in unique and interesting bead based jewelry. Why not make these at home? With the right bead material, the right tools and a creative person these fun pieces can be made at home. Crayola makes just a set for this, the Crayola Model Magic Jewelry Boutique, well minus the creative person. Well, even the creativity is supplemented with a good instruction manual. ๐
This set includes a workstation and enough accessories and model magic to make hundreds of beads, charms, necklaces and bracelets. The workstation is super easy to use and Kamikaze loves it. She loved painting and clay to being with but now she can play with it and make something to wear. She is ecstatic. It was difficult keeping her from going through all the model magic in a single afternoon. She loved the gems which could be put into the beads the best of all. She loves her bling! ๐
This play set is based off of Model Magic. Model Magic air dries into a soft light semi-pliable solid. It will give when you press your finger into it but will hold its shape. The Clay dries completely in 24 hours but start to dry in a few hours, so be sure a project is done before walking away. Model Magic is fun to play with and is available at most craft stores as well as refills specific to the Jewelry Boutique set.
I was hoping I could get a chance to get some freebies on these blogs. Any chance you’d be raffling some artisan designer jewelry as well soon? Cheers!
