If passed, the law would give greater powers to the U.S.
government to essentially blacklist foreign websites accused of hosting copyright-infringing content.
All you have to do is be accused of infringement and poof…you’re shut down. The laws are excessive and would essentially make it impossible for sites such as Twitter, YouTube and Flickr to exist in their current form. Anyone who uses the internet is affected in some way.

Because the legislation could punish someone who links to a site that happens to also host copyrighted content, those doing the linking could be forced to first make sure the site is completely free of such content – an incredibly difficult task in the case of massive sites, such as YouTube.
Those of us that Product Review would be subject to these same issues because we review for sites that have copyrighted content and link back to them, hence our website scould be yanked…..it’s a very scary bill.
Please sign this letter to congress and tell them to reevaluate their positions on this bill!
