During this week long trip, we saw all sorts of creatures from beluga whales to seals. One thing we DIDN’T see were lights and any other influences from modern civilization- it was a beautiful, wonderful time to be out in nature. Just a few people on their kayaks, a few packs of food, and tents. The end. Not for kids, perhaps- but “sometimes you just gotta get away”, as the saying goes π
For me, this trip was pre- kids, and with a toss away film camera, so the photos are not as vibrant as you would see while you were there- but no camera would truly do it any justice. And the silence and the natural beauty found in that area was amazing. I’d go back in a minute.
Just a brief remembrance of a trip gone by. Happy trails!
Loverly. I stink at kayaking, hehe. You guys look pretty dern good at it.
Go Sam! Kayaking looks so fun! And to be away from shops, city lights and computers..coool!
Sounds like an amazing trip!
Stopping by from the Finding New Friends blog hop π I’m your newest follower!
Looks fun! I was in search of northern lights awhile ago but failed too and yet all the beautiful scenery made everything worth it still. Started a travelogue on my blog and loved to read about others’ travel! Keep the pics coming!
Cheers,
Summer

As always I’m living vicariously through your travels….you should do a column or something, those travel tweeters should try and actually travel, then maybe they would have something to tweet about π
Fond memories and great times. I enjoyed your photos.
I want to be a traveling Sam but not a camping Sam. Yay for times you have to get away but I like to get away at a resort.
Now that is beautiful. I want to be a travelling Sam π
How fun! I love going on trips :)Been Kayaking & canoing all the time before my kids came along. Soon as they are old enough we’ll go again. Tons of fun! Happy Trails Sam π
