Build A Menu is a new online menu planning service designed to help busy families save time and money on meal planning and grocery shopping. Build A Menu takes the most popular features of top recipe sites and combines them to make weekly planning fast and easy.
Each week, the team at Build a Menu plans a variety of family friendly menus. Then, they visit each of the stores they feature to find the best price available for every ingredient in every recipe, many of which will be on sale that week. Members can choose from any of the menu categories (link for menu categories is http://www.buildamenu.com/
Members can Build a Menu in three easy steps. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Choose your store.
Step 2: Scroll thru the list of menu options for the week. They offer meals that serve 4-6 people as well as meals for 1-2 people. No matter what your needs are, Build A Menu makes it easy to create your meal plan.
One of the most powerful features of the Build A Menu website is the ability to see approximately how much your total grocery cost will be. After each selection, you’ll see your new running total. If you’re on a tight budget, they have plenty of budget friendly recipes to choose from. Keeping within your grocery budget has never been easier!
Step 3. When satisfied with your options, simply click Build A Menu and you’re ready to click on View Recipes to print your menu or View Shopping List for your easy to use, categorized list, ready to print and take to the store. It just takes a matter of minutes to select a week’s worth of family friendly recipes, print your shopping list and be ready for the week.
Membership to Build A Menu is $8/month. Visit their website for more information.
*Build A Menu was developed by a Financial Consultant with years of practice helping families save money on groceries. Karee Blunt enlisted the help of her sister, Lisa Holcomb, to launch BAM as a way to not only help families save money, but as a way to raise money for orphan care charities. Between their two families, they have 11 children, five of whom are adopted (from Russia, China and Texas) and caring for orphans is a matter that’s very important to them. Although having a top-notch menu planning service is the backbone of the business, the heart of it is being able to give a portion of all proceeds to orphan care charities. Minta
I, like Lucy, used to plan my menus faithfully. Now I don’t. I need to do it again. It saves time and money.
I used to faithfully menu plan, must be time to get back at it.
I could really use this! I have to check it out
I would like this as I like to plan menus and write them down. If this comes with a little cheif where you just add water and they prepare the meal then I’m so sold!
This sounds like a great idea. I’ve never been a menu planner type, but I might give this a go! Thanks!
