In order to thrive in the world, one must change and improve. This is true of an individuals life as well as a company’s ‘life’. GreenSmart did just this. They started out as Shoreline, manufacturing bags and backpacks from polyester, neoprene and nylon. However- as materials progressed, so did Shoreline. They turned into GreenSmart, now a bag and backpack manufacturer who use only eco-friendly materials such as recycled plastics. They also use socially responsible labor practices. All this and fab bags, what a great idea!
Today we are taking a look at the Indri Campus Laptop Backpack. This bag in named after the Indri lemur (who has the characteristics of a teddy bear with large green eyes and a black face with fuzzy ears). The bag is made from thirty five recycled plastic bottles, and it says so right on the tag on the bag. It is put together well and is sturdy. It also it has lots of pockets and places to put wires, books, your laptop, tablet, etc. There is even a zippered pocket in the shoulder strap big enough for a cell phone, business cards, and some emergency money.
There are a few changes which would make this the best bag. One: more padding around the computer compartments. Two: a strap or something to hold the laptop in place. A smaller laptop might bang around a bit more then you might want. Other then that? No complaints, and it’s nice to look at, too!
awesome sounding bag! will definitely be recommending this to my friends in college.
This is really great. I loved reading about it. I like the looks of it too.
Love this – will definitely have to show your review to my daughter who’s heading off to high school next year…
That is cool that it uses recycled bottles!
It is amazing what they can make out of plastic bottles! I have a pair of training pants for my son that were made partially from recycled plastic bottles.
That backpack is pretty awesome.
Such a great backpack. My youngest would love it because it’s blue. What a great way to recycle.
