Six Flags New England is a must for anybody looking for an affordable family
vacation in New England. Popular attractions such as the Thunderbolt, Cyclone,
Mind Eraser, Bizarro, Goliath, and Batman – The Dark Knight will keep kids and
teens entertained. Adults can enjoy the Balloon Race, Blizzard River, New England
Sky Way, and Scream. The park offers summer specials and discounts ideal for
families looking to stick to their budget. Affordable restaurants can be found near
Six Flags, in addition to the refreshments found within the park.

park. Save more money by joining the park’s E-Club if you plan to be repeat visitor

Log Flume, and Boston Tea Party. The admission price includes access to the park’s
85 rides and attractions. Kids 3 and under are admitted free and parking is free.

Combining the history that embodies New England and the fun you want in an
amusement park, Salem Willows offers plenty of affordable entertainment for all
members of the family. The Willows Arcade features classic games such as Air
Hockey and Skee-Ball. Kiddieland features a 135-year-old carousel along with boat
and car rides. Even the food served here has some impressive history associated
with it. E. W. Hobbs, located within the park, served America’s first ice cream cone in
1906. Prices are affordable and the atmosphere is described as casual and relaxing.

Water Country

Touting itself as “New England’s Largest, Cleanest, Safest, and Friendliest
Waterpark”, Water Country certainly doesn’t skimp on the family fun. Popular
attractions include Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror, Double Geronimo, Dragon’s
Den, Triple Giant Slides, and Thunder Falls & Wild Canyon. Kiddie slides include
Ollie Octopus and Pirate’s Pool & Lagoon. The park offers specials and discounts
through Labor Day and has a weather guarantee similar to what Fun Town offers.

Zoos and Aquariums

Capron Park Zoo, open year-round, offers a diverse collection of animals with
specially-designed environments that make it perfectly safe for children to enjoy the
sights. While all animals and birds on display here are delightful, favorites include
the Red Ruffed Lemur, the Japanese Macaque, and the Flying Fox. Children under 3
are admitted free.

New England Aquarium

More than a million visitors a year find there way to this New England treasure.
Aside from the aquarium, popular attractions include the Simons IMAX Theatre and
the New England Aquarium Whale Watch. Children will love the penguins and sea
lions and the entire family will enjoy the many exhibits and unique presentations
such as showing guests who many of the marine and aquatic animals on display
here are fed and trained. Discounts are available and children under 3 are admitted
free.

There is really no shortage of affordable family fun in New England. You can explore
