What started out as a very rainy day, turned into a sunny one (with no lines, since the weather kept all but the hardy from attempting to go, LOL) at CamelBeach Water Park. So what if it rained for a few hours? We were at a waterpark- going to get wet anyway, right? ๐
Check out the last water park of the season – Camelback Mountain Water Park. Camelback has got to be one of the best water parks in the area. For real- LOVED IT. My favorite by far in the area. They have over seven thrill rides, including a six story call triple slide, Triple Venom. There are also a plethora of family and little kid attractions including the 1,000 foot long lazy river ride, that is full of fun like waterfalls and geysers. But the absolute best attraction there has to be the Pharaoh’s Phortress with loads of splashing fun including a spilling bucket, slides and enough water cannons to soak your whole family.
My little guy went on everything- mommy was so proud of her brave little dude. He really enjoyed himself- this was one of the best days we had all summer. The park is clean, well maintained (even if that camel and sign by the entrance have seen better days- the rides are all in perfect condition- none of that “rot” or signs of age so often seen at waterparks).
For those of you who want to keep dry, or are seeking a little more adventure- the new Camelback Mountain Adventures are for you. This new piece of awesomeness at Camelback is geared toward adults for the most part, including zip-flyers, a mountain coaster, which must be seen to believed. There are also nifty Treetop Adventure Courses, which are kind of like obstacle courses full of cool challenges like rock walls and suspended bridges. I tried out the zipline, and it was 70 seconds (so I am told) of insane fun. A long chair lift to the top of the mountain, into the safety gear, and then OUT drops the bottom- off you go. It sure didn’t feel like 70 seconds- more like 10! But it was truly awesome, super fun- and I wish they had allowed me to bring my camera so I had a picture to post here. If you are in the area, it is a MUST DO attraction.
Looks like a lot of fun!
How fun!
I live like 20 minutes from there! We love it. I didn’t make it up there this year though.
Wow this looks like so much fun! Any place that has a water slide sounds like heaven to me. ๐
