When you think of Christmas, I’m pretty sure the last thing you think of is a pile of wholesome vegetables. And that is the way it should be honest, but I ask you for a short time to think of vegetables at this time of year, especially those delivering a message. The Veggietales have released a “Veggie Christmas Marathon” in the form of six holiday movies and one CD packed with 25 songs. This collection is Veggietales’ “The Ultimate Christmas Collection”. This collection is full of fun from the “It’s a Wonderful Life” inspired tale, “It’s a Meaningful Life” to the A Christmas Carol inspired “The Star of Christmas”.

At this time of year, it is important to remember the reason for the season. I do think it is important to keep family values year round, and be mindful of what kids hear, see, watch, and thus mimic- and the wholesome yet cute and funny Veggie Tales are perfect for anytime, but fantastic for Christmas, one of the Holiest times of the year. These videos and songs play positive messages for the kids, and parents won’t need to worry about negative images, scary scenes, or violence which is so prevalent in today’s media and society. Our kids- our selves- are bombarded day after day, I like that Veggie Tales are ALWAYS safe. Perfect for the Christmas season, a sweet reminder of the love of God and His son, and why we keep Christ in Christmas that children will understand and enjoy watching.

Now your family can enjoy classic holiday shows “The Toy that Saved Christmas”- a lesson in giving; “Star of Christmas”- a lesson in how to love; “Saint Nicholas”- a story in joyful giving; “It’s a Meaningful Life”- a lesson in being content; and “Little Drummer Boy”- a story about hope, love and forgiveness. Also included in the collection is the “Christmas Sing-along Songs” DVD and 25 Christmas Favorites CD.
