FL 2- New Years 2013 484

The holidays are over. Santa has come and gone, Chanukah’s eight crazy nights are now one heck of a migraine, and insert holiday of choice here, because I am not going to create a pun for all of them- LOL. At the end of it all, we are thankful for our family and friends but most of all we are thankful the holidays are over and we can start a new year with some normalcy.
But what happens when everyone gets that new shiny toy or piece of tech but you? Who give the best gifts, but is destined to enjoy the holiday through others and their gifts instead of their own, well- unfortunately mommy.

So how do we get through this? Well we get our own presents. Sure the arts and crafts are nice, the husband presents are nice but not quite right. So we get to spend some of that money we saved on gifts for everyone else on ourselves.

Scour the web and find the perfect necklace at a bargain price. Or just grab that season of House you missed, so during the next cable outage, Dr. House can still save the day with wit and aggravation.

As long as you get a good deal it’s OK, right? Say yes. It has to be yes! No need to get worked up over spending a bit of money if it is once a year. We all deserve a bit of enjoyment, especially around the holidays. Of course the kids are important during his time of year, but please do not discriminate against your significant others as well. Everyone should feel special and loved. Even mommy! 🙂
