Most of you will know the answer- never. But why not? Dads get them (most dads, sorry to generalize) because mom will take care of the kids while dad is sick. But when mom is sick, well….dad tries. But Mom always needs to step in. Plus the kids will sneak into her room, the bathroom- the shower- we all know how this goes. But how is mom supposed to get better if she can’t get some rest?

It’s very frustrating- Especially when other family members get sick and already sick mommy had to tend to them, so everyone else gets better but mom. Of course, we would rather be sick then the kiddos- but can a mommy get a break? Is it just me- or does it seem like mom is sick from Nov-March every year? I protest! I want to shower, clean clothes brought to me, someone to bring me soup and tissues. I want to sleep more then 2 hours at a time, and no one complains that they want Elmo on, or juice not milk, or that they can’t find their work shoes, or insert random complaint here. Yes, I do realize that I am having a dream. But a girl can dream, can’t she? Oh well. At least I got a shower last night. I guess I will take it and run.

  1. I could not agree with you more!! Lol

  2. LMAO. I totally understand. My whole family got a stomach virus in December–fell like dominoes. Mom (me) got sick last so why I’m trying to control my vomiting, I’m making chicken soup and serving up ginger ale to my recovering to my 5 and 7 year old. I curled up in the fetal position on the couch while the TV babysat them. Of course, many fusses ensued between my daughters.

  3. It is different when mom gets sick. Very different! 🙂
