If you’re a seasoned explorer, or just not interested in a vanilla safari adventure, you may be looking
for alternative ways to enjoy Africa. Many tourists are drawn to this continent, year in, year out,
for the raw, untouched wilderness. Instead of going to zoos and safari parks, people want to see
magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. When you can do this in luxury too, what’s stopping
you?
Instead of embarking on the traditional safari experience, try something a little different with the
following suggestions:
Wild Walking
Cooped up in a safari Land Rover, you can definitely cover distance, but can you truly experience
Africa? Wild walking is a great way to get some exercise and enjoy a sensory ramble. Hike-haters
won’t buckle on this journey either – there’ll be plenty of stops and much to see. Sitting on a seat is
not quite the same as pounding African soil and quietly stalking exotic creatures.
Drive Yourself
Are you a fan of road trips? Put the power back into your hands (and your car engine) and drive
around Africa at your own leisure. With plenty of B&Bs by the coast or small guest farms, you won’t
be stuck for a place to stay.
Picnic in the great outdoors and enjoy an unscheduled tour of Africa on your terms. Don’t forget to
pop into nature reserves to get up close and personal with some of the country’s most ferocious
beasts. It wouldn’t quite be a tour of Africa without the wildlife.
Live With Bushmen
It’s hard to experience true bush life. Go back to basics in an African scrub community. Hunt for
dinner and spend time with the villagers to get a real taste of life in the wild. You can help make
hunting equipment and join in with the healing dances. However, living with Bushmen isn’t for the
faint-hearted or comfort-loving, so make sure that you’re prepared. Even so, this experience will be
truly life-changing.
A Guide With A Difference
A great guide can really make the difference between a fantastic holiday and a trip to forget. At
Mundulea Private Nature Reserve, you can find Bruno Nebe. He studied photography and film (so
you know you’re going to get wonderful snaps) in Europe, but was born in Namibia. At this reserve,
it’s all about environmental awareness, respect, and knowledge.
Bruno established Munduelea Reserve by himself from his passion for rare species. Widely reviewed
in newspapers as a must-visit area, go and see what all the hype is about.
Far Off The Beaten Track
When you’re constantly surrounded by people, cars, and buildings, getting away to Africa’s remote
plains can be a breath of fresh air. As our global population grows, space is becoming the ultimate
luxury… the good news is, Africa has a wealth of land! The more remote you go, the more peace of
mind you can achieve, so instead of following the tourist track, head deep into the wilderness for
rest and relaxation.

an African safari adventure, the safari parks experience in England makes for a memorable day out
with your family and friends.
There are many things to do on an African safari one just has to be creative and a bit adventurous. Activities for family safaris include quad biking, reading scat and animal tracks and balloon safaris.
