eShakti Dress Review

Danielle and I both checked our eShakti dresses recently. This is a unique online shopping experience, so it may help to learn about the site and what they do, as well as the offerings they have to beautify your closet.

About eShakti:

eShakti is an online shopping experience where you as the shopper get to customize the fit, cut, and style options. eShakti offers many different styles in blouses, skirts, and dresses from mod to vintage. This isn’t like a store where you make an order and then it is shipped instantly. Each item that they make is custom made to order based upon the size, height, and style preferences of the customers.

eShakti began as a small website that originally offered basic cottons and modestly embellished pieces. They grew, and they were then tasked with providing design and fit solutions to meet the needs of their customers. Today, they are an international fashion design company making custom clothing. They offer both style and fit customization for women size 0 through 36.

About the Dress:

• Slips on over head, with a partial side hidden zip closure
• Sleeveless
• Back banded waist, sash ties in front
• Below knee length
• Can be Machine Washed

How can this dress be altered?

You first pick the size you want based upon your measurement. The second step that you take is to enter your height so that it can be made appropriately. Although the majority of their items can be altered in some way or another, this is a dress that can’t be altered at all.

My Thoughts:

I absolutely loved the dress when I saw the pictures of it on the internet. I must admit that I wasn’t as crazy about it when I first put the dress on. I had a hard time adjusting the length of the dress. It seemed to feel a little long for me, even though as I look at the picture now, I think that it looks much better than I had originally thought. **I had thought that I had ordered it to be a little shorter, but then as I was looking back at the original website, I realized that it isn’t an option at all for this dress.

I love the fact that this dress is machine washable. I like the ruffles on the dress. I hate that my picture didn’t really seem to do them justice. The dress fit true to the size that I ordered, even though I admit at the time of the picture I hadn’t successfully lost all the Baby # 2 Weight. (I have now 🙂 ). I am excited to wear this dress now that I have lost a little weight, and I also am more confident with the length of the dress even though it is a different length than I am more often used to.

How can this dress be altered?

A majority of their items can be altered in some way or another, this dress can be altered in length, sleeve style, embroidery can be removed, and pockets can be added or taken away.

My Thoughts-

It fit over my chest, which is always my first concern and an accomplishment in my book. It needed a little extra coverage for me, so I added one of my coverings to ensure modesty. It was slightly high in the waist, but I assume that is because of the extra pull in the chest area. This is something that I often contend with, as do many larger breasted women. The length was perfect, and I love how bright and colorful it is. It is easy care, a must for mommies and ladies on the go.

This dress is perfect for nearly any occasion, from casual to a bit dressier occasions (with the right accessories and shoes) and is great for spring and summer.
