Power Rangers are now in their 20th season. If you have been under a rock since 1993, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are regular teenagers who morph into ninja heroes. When the situation gets hairy, they are able to call upon their zords, which are based on animals including dinosaurs. But when the situation is end of the world caliber all the stops come out and the zords come together to form a Megazord. This Megazord is made up of all the power rangers and their zords to create a truly powerful weapon to vanquish villains of every caliber.
To celebrate 20 seasons of Power Rangers, Bandai is releasing a new line of toys to go along with the newest iteration of Power Rangers, Power Rangers Mega Force. These toys are the first time Bandai is bringing together Power Cards along with the toys. Power Cards are a new ways for kids to interact with their toys. Power Cards interact and integrate with the toys themselves, by making sound effects or voices specific to each card. The cards are also a part of the new Power Rangers Action Card Game and unlock new content when used along with the Power Rangers Card Scanner App, available for smartphones and tablets.
To bring a touch of nostalgia to the table, Bandai is also releasing a new Legacy line of toys which include a mammoth Megazord with die-cast parts. The Legacy Megazord was created with the 2010 mold, but with the addition of new die cast metal parts, which make this toy heavy and substantial. The Megazord is also able to be taken apart into its individual dinozord components quite easily. For an added challenge upon opening the box, hide the instruction manual and try to put the Megazord together and then apart into its individual dinozords again. Its a bit challenging, but with a little Power Ranger expert helping it can be done. Here is a hint, the flying dinozord goes on its back. At $49.99 there is a great value to this toy. Not only is it actually 5 toys in one, but a die cast toy is very difficult to find at your local toy store without dropping some serious coin. Little Man really likes power ranger toys and the Megazord is a welcome addition to his collection. He really likes the Mastodon dinozord as well as the T Rex. The toys are heavy so be careful with these near sensitive electronics and toes.
My son (who is 22) had every megazord including this one. They are in a box in the basement!
What a fun toy! My kids love super heroes and power toys like this!
My boys loved playing with their power ranger toys, they were actually the original ones way before they were born, that were given to them.
OH man, my Callan would go ga ga for this.
How many people remember the name of the floating head?
Zordon
I have girls, but my little one has been invited to a boy party in a couple weeks. I will have to buy one for him–I am sure he would love it!
I wish my kids were still little and still liked Power Rangers. That is such a cute toy.
