Its Spring time, supposedly at least. This morning there was an article I saw about a winter storm to Minneapolis. Snow accumulation in May! If you are tired of the cold and the snow why not bring a little green into your day with The Gro Project .
The idea behind it, is easy, its time to green things up, one plant at a time and Miracle-Gro can help. With just a few small cacti, a fish bowl, some small plastic dinosaurs, small stones and Moisture Control Potting Mix its possible to make a nifty little Toyrarium. This project is both easy and good for kids to help with as well. The toyrarium is probably my favorite project and the most fun of the bunch. Once complete the toyrarium looks like the set of an old dinosaur movie with stop action dinosaurs roaring about.
What you need:
Fish Bowl
Cactus or Succulant plant
Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix
Plastic Dinosaur
Rocks
Spoon
First put a layer of rocks at the bottom of the fish bowl. Fill about a third of the way with potting mix. Use your spoon to dig a hole for your plant and give it a nice home. Next up set up your dinosaurs around the plant. This is important you want it to look realistic and interesting. This is key! Since you are using Miracle Gro Moisture Control potting mix, you only neet to spray the cactus with a bit of water when it looks dry. No need to over water. MAke sure to check it out as gardeners would.
There are a ton more fun garden projects to try both indoor and outdoor. So get those creative juices flowing and make your space a bit healthier, a bit more educational and a bit more magical as well. One of the most fulfilling feelings in the world is when you first see that bud spurt into a flower. For more details check out the video below:
