Growing up stinks. We are forced to leave behind so much in order to mature, playtime ends. Toys and coloring become school and reading, which then become work and and family. But one of the few things we get to keep are memories. What better way to build those wonderful memories and also relive our own then with the boardwalk? One of the most well known of these summer time attractions are Morey’s Piers at Wildwood, NJ. I personally have every single summer vacation there from birth through age 15 (when I started to travel on my own) as well as spending lots of special occasions there, such as homecoming and prom.

wildwood NJMorey’s Piers are a total of 3 piers, packed with over 100 rides and attractions including 2 water parks and a wide array of restaurants and concessions, games of chance and games of skill (who doesn’t want to win that giant stuffed animal?)

curleys friesThe first stop of any visit to Morey’s piers should begin a little before lunch time, just in time to spoil that lunch with some fries from Curley’s washed down with some fresh squeezed lemonade. The fries are freshly cut, thick and like no other. Many try to imitate, but none can hold a candle to them.

curly friesThen the fun starts, of course nothing too spin-y or bumpy. But maybe a nice Ferris Wheel ride or Seagull cycle to start out then work our way up to the Sea Serpent coaster and Mini Scooter bumper cars.

boardwalk ridesEventually, you will get hungry again, fries being filling though they were. Hit up Jumbo’s, one of the classic boardwalk spots. Jumbo’s specializes in fresh seafood, steaks, pizza, and the famous Chef Willy’s Cuban spiced fries. Jumbo’s is a great way to end a long day either in their indoor dining room or heated outdoor dining area. Both of which are staffed by willing and attentive staff.
