I am always on the lookout for a new, creative iPad activities for myself, my students, and my daughters. I was very excited to give Scanimalz a try. Not only was it a creative app for kids & adults, but it also comes with an adorable plush character.
About Scanimalz:
Scanimalz are the cute, cuddly plush characters with QR codes on their adorable soft bellies. Scanimalz, from Wicked Cool Toys, capture what kids love – cuddly toys, technology, and playing games on smart phones and tablets! There are more than 30 plush Scanimalz characters to choose from. Kids will love to collect each and play this app.
I was selected to be able to try out the Limited Edition (highly collectible, 1 out of 1000) Scanimalz Purple Plush character.
My Thoughts:
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed playing with this game, as well as my daughter. I will admit that she was a little young for the games on it, but she does love to help line up the QR code on the belly and take the picture whenever you are instructed to.
How Do I get Started?
- First you need to download the app for your iOS or Android Device.
- Scann the QR code on the bottom to register your character.
- Scan the QR code on the belly to play cames
- Track Collections
- Earn Scantz points by playing games
- Work your way up the Daily Leader Board.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the games. I am a teacher to 3rd grade students, and I did let a select few play with this, and they too were completely impressed and wanted to go get one of their own.
