My girls love My Littlest Pet Shop! I never knew there was a cartoon though, so when I got the DVD it was a nice surprise. The cartoon LPS airs on The HUB TC Network in the USA. Shout! Factory Kids teamed up with Hasbro to release the DVD June of this year to bring some funny, upbeat, silly adventures with our all time favorite little pets.
A cute girl named Blythe Baxter moves into the city with her hilarious father. They move into a apartment above a pet shop and she soon finds more adventure than she thought she ever would find in the city! She can talk to the pets in the shop below her and even more- they can talk back! Blythe not only talks to the pets but she helps them when trouble comes along. During her adventures through episodes we meet some other characters, some we don’t like, some we grow to love. A pair of twins that quickly do not like Blythe or her very creative fashion sketches are – Brittney and Whitney Biscuit, or as they are called the Biscuits. Blythe teams up with some friendly pals though right away who help her and enjoy her company. No one knows however her little secret with the pets.
The entire DVD of episodes is cute and fun, with many adventures all of which center around keeping the pet shop open when it’s almost forced to close. The pets include Pepper, a funny skunk, Sunil a magical mongoose, Penny the cute panda, Russel the very organized hedgehog . Zoe the diva of the group and a charming artistic monkey named Minka! My girls adored the movie, and even adore the cartoon which airs nearly everyday. You can find out the time with your local programming or look it up by visiting The Hub TV network.
