Each Summer ends for parents with the time-honored tradition of back to school preparation. This prep includes shopping for everything your kids might need for school. Pens, pencils, calculators, crayons, highlighters, notebooks, folders, locks, etc. Locks have been on school prep lists for a while now, especially for the older kids in middle school straight on through college. Locks have many uses from locking up a gym locker, to locking up your electronics. The uses are almost as varied as the locks themselves. On college campuses the most stolen items are cell phones, iPod’s and laptops. So how do you help your little ones, or big ones come home with everything they left with AND not lock themselves out of them? With new locks.
Master Lock have always been innovators in the field of locks. One of their most recent products is the Secure Storage 5900D. This little unit was built specifically to keep your electronics safe, secure and dry. The lock unit itself has a cable which wraps around it so it can either be used as a handle while carrying or has a tether to a larger object. Now why would you need to tether your phone and keys to a large object? Why in case there is a pool or fountain that is just begging to be jumped into and you don’t want your phone to be destroyed as your reputation as a sane person soon will be.
The inside of the compartment is padded so while moving about your belongings will be safe and unharmed. The unit is also water-resistant to splashing about in a fountain is safe but please do not dunk it under water as your phone will not appreciate the dip.
To support this new line of campus friendly line Master Lock Campus Challenge. Each week there is a new puzzle to solve revolving around a lock and a campus location. Players are given hints throughout the game or on Master Lock’s Facebook page. Prizes are awarded daily, and weekly as well as a grand prize which consists of a new Digital SLR camera. The contest runs through September 8,2013 so act fast.
