Some of the newest of soldiers in the digital army are digital recipe tablets, these are tablets which are specially made for usage in the kitchen. At first thought the idea of a tablet in the kitchen may sound absurd, but the pluses I feel far outweigh any minuses at all.
In my kitchen it makes things a lot easier. There are many benefits to having a kitchen tablet and a great example of one is the Key Ingredient Recipe Reader.
The number one best feat this tablet does is: clear up counter top clutter. That pile of cook books in the corner of your kitchen will now become a much used tablet which can be tucked almost anywhere, or even a drawer.
The recipe reader’s recipes are varied and quite delicious. One of our favorites was the pork chops with Guajillo spice rub. Spicy and meat are always a good combo in my book. In regard to its durability everything is built to be used ina kitchen and cleaned even the power button which is large and rubber making it easy to power on even with dirty hands. If/When you get the recipe reader dirty it is easy to wipe clean with a towel and glass cleaner as well.
I personally love the extras at the bottom of every screen. These short cuts pull up the main portions of the tablet: its cookbook, planner, timer converter, substitute and options running along the bottom. The best of these little buttons are in opinion: the converter and the substitute options. Some times while cooking new foods maybe you forgot to grab some of a certain ingredient at the store, maybe some arrowroot or brandy. The Converter is for you, look up ingredients and a plethora of worthy substitutions are displayed including a description and picture of the ingredient.
The tablet also has a built in tilt and is able to be updated via the key ingredients website and a wifi connection. The tablet is a lot of fun and well worth grabbing for your kitchen.
