Tourist Attractions in India

India is commonly referred to as a subcontinent. I mean with over a billion natives consisting of more than two thousand types of ethnic groups all speaking about two hundred languages that are different, who would argue with argue with that reasoning. Diversity is the word around India as there are different cultures languages and ethnics around India. The vastness of India has not only given its natives a place to call home, but also it has also sprung curiosity of guests and tourists alike to come and see this vast subcontinent and enjoy its beauty.

There are many tourist attractions in India. This is seen the statistics of the various industries in India, the tourism industry leading in the list of profitable industries in India bringing annual revenue of about a hundred billion dollars annually. This is due to at least 17 million tourists visiting India every year. The most tourist attractions in India are:

The Taj Mahal 
This is one of the world’s most renowned tourist destinations. Based in Agra, this monumental building can brag about its marble beauty, having calligraphy on its walls and also its floors has attracted and amazed tourists from around the world hosting over two million tourists. It was built in the 17 century by the then emperor known as Shan Jahan as testament of his love to his wife.

Himalayan mountains

These are the highest mountain ranges in the world. Situated in the northern side of India, these mountain ranges gives a chance for adventurous tourists who love hiking to see the various temples situated in this part of India. The sight of these mountain ranges is to die for which one can view even when there on a train that has passed through these mountain ranges.

The beaches in Goa
For those who love taking vacations while relaxing under an umbrella with the beach right in front of them, the beaches in Goa offers that vacation solution to hem. Located on the western coast side of India, this beach offers a relaxing environment to enjoy India. In addition to that, if one feels like site seeing, you can opt to see the colonial structures remains of the Portuguese colony. Goa is thought as a fun place as it has high-end hotels, clubs, and various malls.

The Golden Temple
This is among the best places to visit in India both in the night and in day. Located in Amritsar, the golden temple is a beautiful building build from the 16th century to the 19th century. Its upper floors are covered in gold and are used as a temple where many swarm in millions just to come and see it.

Kanha National Park
This park is a good place for tourists who love to see nature and animals. This park is surrounded by bamboo forests and the main tourist attraction in this park is tigers.

Ajanta Elorra 
Located in Ajanta this place offers a variety of rock cut structures such as the Ajanta caves thought to have been existent during the second century. The caves have rock cut into different structures such as sailing ships and battle fields, all these preserved to date.
