Baby its cold outside, so why not cuddle up at home and stay warm?  Honeywell are here to help you out with that.  Honeywell are known for their energy efficient, long lasting appliances.  One of their most relevant products for homeowners this time of year is the EnergySmart Whole Room Infrared Heater.  This heater has lots of great features and does a wonderful job of heating up your home one room at a time.

The way an infrared heater works is, it heats up the air, not radiates heat by heating itself up.  This unit has six quartz elements which heat up the air inside the unit.  The air is then pushed through the unit and moves on through the room.  The unit can warm up to 1,200 square feet.  That doesn’t mean it wont work for larger room, just not as well as the suggested room size.  The unit runs on 120 volts, and heats with 5,118 BTU’s using 1500 Watts.  With all this power you’d expect a fireball of a heater, but it stays cool to the touch even after hours of usage. Safety wise it has a 4 way tip over switch and overheat protection.

The unit also sports a remote control for easy use.  Set a temperature and the unit takes care of the rest.  With an LCD display and digital controls, set up is easy.

The unit itself is not large but does a great job of warming up a large room.  In our house the living room is connected to the dining room which is connected to the kitchen.  The heater does a great job of warming up both the living room and the dining room.  The room got nice and toasty within a half hour.  The unit itself fits in with the room quite well design-wise.  It is also easy  o tuck into a corner when not in use, it sports casters to roll around easily.

The Infrared Whole Room Heater retails for 169.99 and is available at fine retailers everywhere.

I would so love to have this in my home. I like that it heats up the air instead of heating up as a unit.

  2. Sounds like a great heater, I like that it is cool to the touch, def important for pets and smaller kids

This would be perfect for my bedroom! My heater doesn’t work right so I have to use a space heater.

Oh man we could totally use this right now. My house is cold and it has been snowing all day. Looks nice!

That sounds like a nice little space heater! It is very nice that it doesn’t get hot to the touch. When you have cats, they like to snuggle as close as they can to heat sources. Burnt kitties are not much fun.

I like that it stays cool to the touch – that is so important with kids and pets around.

  8. This would be awesome for my mother in laws home. Her house is old and the heating does not keep the house warm. This seems pretty affordable as well compared to some I have looked at. Thanks for sharing.

  9. Nice, this heater sounds really nice to have this time of year. I live in a big old house. This looks like what I need.
