mpMario Party has constantly been one of the best ways for a group of friends to laugh and play video games together. The most recent Mario Party Island Tour brings this up a notch on the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.

Island Tour is broken up into a few different game modes, they are:

Party Mode: Think a digital board game with no bored and a ton of mini games. There are seven boards to choose from each a blast to play through and fun no matter how many people are playing.

Mini games: Mini games are available for play one at a time. Either to practice or just for a quick pick and play game by yourself or with friends.

Bowser’s Tower: This is a fun way to fight your way to the top and take out Bowser one on one.

Streetpass Minigames: This is where you can play against other local players. Think a table of friends with a table of 3DS’s all playing together.

Every game mode helps the players gain Mario Party Points, these points are used to unlock collectables in game, including special figures, sound clips and theme songs.

In general Little Man loves taking on Bowser’s Tower and is perfect for single player fun. Before really getting into the Tower though I would suggest playing some mini games first. Multiplayer is a blast using either Streetpass and local play or over the internet. Either way Multiplayer is the main way to play Mario Party and is a blast no matter how many players there are. 2, is fun, 3 is a blast, 4 is a party. Island Tour also makes Multiplayer incredibly easy. With one cartridge up to 4 players can play without having to buy another copy of the game. This feature is called Download Play and is available to any other players who have a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS.
