NY Toy Fair was last week, and I’ve shared a few posts (and plenty on social media!) with you already about what we saw and did there. Here are a few fun products that we got to take home and try out, and my son says are his favorites of the bunch.
The new “Dune” Skylander, which is available in stores in the blue and gold colors above. It interacts with the Skylanders portal for your game station of choice, and plays with all the characters in the series.
The Lil Bub stuffed cat toy was a big hit with my son- it also came with a book about Lil Bub, where the cat explains his life on another planet. My husband considers this book an exercise in insanity, while my son loves it and finds it hilarious. Go figure! My son has been toting this cat about since he got it- you may have seen it in our recent aquarium or museum posts or social media shares. Lil Bub is quite a popular kitty!
The Golden Furby, right out of his favorite app! He loves his Furby Boom app, and the golden egg Furby delighted him beyond words.
Armadons, new from the makers of Dagadar and ZhuZhu Pets, are new motorized transforming vehicles.
“The magic of Armadons is the unique motorized, Auto-Shift Technology; it’s how they can instantly transform and spring into action,” said James Russell Hornsby, CEO, Cepia LLC. “Armadons deliver the dramatic transformation effect kids have wanted but, until now, was confined to their imaginations.”
Also from the makers of Zhu Zhu Pets are The Happys, which are like large versions of the toy that are more interactive. They interact with their toys, a special wand you use, and each other. They come in gender-neutral packaging (THANK YOU for realizing boys like animals, too!) and have accessories in traditionally boy, girl, and gender neutral colors.
Finally, both Playmobile and Viking toys are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Here’s to you and your “Ruby” year! We love these fun toys, and have been buying and playing with them for years. And wasn’t it nice they gave us presents? LOL.
Love that toothless grin! Looks like your little man is very happy with his haul 🙂
My oldest son loves Skylanders.
