I am sure as a kid you have had the conversation of who would win in a fight?Ā The way this works is a few kids get into aĀ group an d ask who would win in a fight, this person or this person.Ā Usually its something like Captain America or Spider-man.Ā The conversation inevitably moves to the comparison to themselves with different powers using them on one another.Ā This mixing of powers is the central concept of Marvel Super Hero Mashers.Ā The new toy line takes familiar characters like The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man and gives them interchangeable limbs and torsos to the point where A single figure can sport Iron Man’s legs, Spider-Man’s arms, Hulk’s head and Captain America’s torso.
There are approximately thirteen regular figures with which kids can switch parts with also an extra seven figures which includes accessories like missile launchers, and other battle gear to complement your hero of choice.
What I find most fun is the articulation of each figure.Ā Arms bend and pivots, as to legs, necks turns and torsos twist, all of which make for some heroic stances and epic fights with the super villains or the other heroes if need be.
Little Man likes making an amalgam of multiple figures to the point where all 6 pieces are from 6 figures.Ā This is not an easy feat but makes for some interesting combinations.Ā Could one hero save the planet with all 6 parts?Ā I certainly hope so and with your little one’s help it is possible.
Each Marvel Super Hero Masher retailers for $9.99 and each Super Hero Mashers Battle Upgrade figure retails for $14.99.
This is one I made at New York Toy Fair this past week as well. I named him “Confused”, which I think was appropriate š
When grabbing these, I would suggest that you get at least two to truly get your point across about interchangeability of characters.Ā I would say the more the merrier, but with a minimum of two your kids will have a blast.
