This past weekend, my son, husband, and myself headed to the Nintendo World Store in New York City to check out some of the newest and soon-to-be-released games, including Yoshi’s New Island and Disney Magical World launching soon on the Nintendo 3DS/2DS. We had a great time playing the new games, checking out the systems, and even answering some fun trivia questions. My son is a Yoshi pro, so the questions were right up his alley. He won a prize, which thrilled him to no end (a plush Kamek) and we even won a raffle prize- a Yoshi T-Shirt.
Keep an eye out for the review of the new Yoshi game! It will be up shortly.
In addition, there is some fun news to share with you. During the month of March, people who register a Nintendo 3DS™, Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS™ system, as well as one of six select Nintendo 3DS games via Club Nintendo, will receive a free code to download either Pokémon™ X or Pokémon Y, the best-selling Nintendo 3DS games of 2013. The six participating games are Mario Kart™ 7, Super Mario 3D Land™, Animal Crossing™: New Leaf, Donkey Kong Country™ Returns 3D, LEGO® City Undercover: The Chase Begins and the upcoming Yoshi’s New Island™. The system and game must be registered between March 1 and March 31 in order to take advantage of the promotion. Download codes for Pokémon X or Pokémon Y must be redeemed by May 31, 2014.
Playing on the 3DS XL was fun for the kids and the husband, since the screen was bigger. They really enjoyed that. The staff was great with the kids, and helped them set up games. It’s always a lot of fun to go to the Nintendo World Store and see all the new games, items, toys, and gear that they have hanging out- so much variety, and my gamers (the big and the little one) both love it. It’s a must do for any visit to the city. Come visit the site on March 13th for a review of the new Yoshi game- and maybe soon for a special surprise, as well. Have a good one, and go get your game on!
We love Mario. It is our favorite game
My kids love Mario, I didn’t know they had a Nintendo store!~ They would flip!
I had no idea that this place even existed. We all grew up with Mario, so I would probably like it. My husband and son would LOVE IT, needless to say.
I love Yoshi! Actually I love all things Mario! i wish they’d come out with some of these cool games on the Wii!
That looks so cool!! I bet they had such a great time! Who could possibly be bored with all those games everywhere?
What a cool experience and congrats to your son for winning a plushie 🙂 We love the screen on our 3DS XL! We have that, Mario 3D Land, and the new Animal Crossings but registered them already – bummer. The new Layton and Yoshi are on my 2014 wishlist already.
