The Muppets Most Wanted premiere at the El Capitan Theatre was an experience for this lifelong Muppets fan to remember.  Having watched the Muppet Show when I was a kid (so did my husband) and even Muppet Babies (which was one of my favorites- I still have my McDonalds Muppet Babies toys, believe it or not) I love that they are back for my son to enjoy now.  OK, enjoy with us.  We would still watch them.  More on the movie later, this post is to share pictures of the red carpet and the after party.

balconyAs we got into the theater, who should surprise us just before the show started but Statler and Waldorf, the hecklers of all hecklers. The 2 grumpy old men who have been ragging on the Muppets since forever, and who the show wouldn’t be the same without.  When the spotlight hit them, I was so excited I started bouncing and smacked Matt (seated next to me) in the arm, I was so excited to see in person what I had been watching since I was a little kid.  It was, in my opinion, the best part of the night, and very, very cool.

after partyAin’t no party like a Muppets party- and this afterparty was full of Muppets.  The stars of the show and the voices who make the Muppets possible hung out here for some fun and food.  So, off we went as well.

The whole night was a lot of fun, we hung out with new and old bloggy friends, mixed and mingles with celebrities who didn’t seem bothered by us (LOL), ate to our heart’s content, and got some fun photos with cool movie props.  What’s not to love?

There will be plenty more you will hear about the #MuppetsMostWantedEvent .  Hear about the movie, the stars, and of course- the Muppets themselves.
