Mornings are one of the busiest times of the day- mostly because we have to get everyone going from sleeping to out the door in no time flat. Usually this is a feat which can be achieved with will power and grace, like a well oiled machine or even a ballet of breakfast. But there are, of course, those days where the ballet turns into a mosh pit and Slayer is playing. During these days breakfast turns into ‘grab something on the way out the door’. This grabbed food can be anything from a piece of fruit to a snack bar. What it should be is a Nutri-Grain bar, since they are not only delicious but healthy too. Their most recent addition to the speed breakfast market is the Fruit and Oat Harvest bars. These bars incorporate the classic Nutri-Grain combination of fruit and granola bar with the crunch of whole grain and the energy of protein as well.
On days when breakfast is skipped completely, the time between when-breakfast-should-have-been and lunch is torture. Everyone is on edge and cranky. Hunger is always gnawing at us all and it is evident by the either the snappiness of our words or the seemingly drunken bouncing off of doorways, furniture, and tables. After lunch, attitudes improve and the day can still be salvaged, but it is silly when you think about how easy it would have been to grab a breakfast bar and mitigate the entire situation before it began.
We thoroughly enjoy Nutri-Grain bars and were excited to try the new bars. Little Man and Dad especially enjoyed them. Both enjoying the fruit in the bar and the crunch and firmness of the whole grain and protein. Thee bars would be great for long drives, road trips, flights, or even just spares in he car in case those busy mornings do lead to a lack of breakfast (or traffic acts up, as it does in NJ). These as an emergency ration would be a life saver.
