Its called My Uncle’s Gift and it is about how a little thing like a hobby can effect little ones in your family. Even without trying adults are making impressions on children. Not only through teaching and lessons but through life and living. In my family there is a strong tie to food. Holidays always have a special food Easter is Ham and pizzagaina, Christmas is Calamari and ham, New Years pigs in a a blanket and dry smoked sausage. All the food is delicious and of course everyone who can helps. This was something that has stuck with me for many years. MY grandparents passed onto me the traditions and now I am passing this down to our little guy. He loves hanging out in the kitchen and helping to cook. Sure his cooking is nothing more then dumping pasta in boiling water of mixing the pancake mix. But the key is he learns some lessons about cooking without being bombarded with hard lessons or forcing him to try.
