Who doesn’t absolutely love smelling nice 🙂 ? I know that even on drab days smelling good makes me happy. I was very happy to try out some awesome new fragrances from Masik Collegiate Fragrances.

About Masik Collegiate Fragrances:

Masik Collegiate Fragrances was founded by CEO, Katie Masik, in 2008. A Chemical Engineering graduate from Bucknell University, she spent the early part of her career in the energy industry. However, an entrepreneur at heart, she grew restless after several years and was ready for a change.

Katie has always loved perfume. She said that even when she was little, she would spend a great deal of time smelling perfumes in the stores. She wanted to take a different angle and somehow create more individualized fragrances that would celebrate a part of everyone. One day Katie was able to realize exactly what her goal was- to create different signature scent men’s and women’s fragrances for universities – a celebration of college and a unique way for alumni and fans to show school spirit. She really wanted the scents to be special and inspired by elements such as school colors, campus style, flowers and trees, traditions and locations. She also wanted the schools themselves to be involved in the process.

The first school that finally agreed was Bucknell. However, they have now partnered with schools in the Southeast and Southwest to help expand the collection. They also will be launching 17 new schools this fall. Many more schools are ready to be involved as well.

To be sure to stay current and up to date on Masik and all of their fragrances, be sure to follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

Auburn University Women’s Perfume:

Fragrance Notes:

Top Notes: Watery Mandarin, Chilled Grapefruit, Cool Aloe, Iced Mineral Water Accord

Middle Notes: Muguet, Dew Kissed Jasmine, White Tiare Petals, Chamomile Blossom

Base Note: Musk, White Tea

This perfume is one of my favorites. I myself have not ever been to Auburn University, but have been to Alabama on vacation several times. I will admit that smelling this perfume sure brings back a great deal of memories from my vacations. I have always been big on smells and songs bringing memories to me. This perfume definitely proves this theory. I haven’t been to Alabama for probably almost 20 years :).

University of North Carolina Women’s Perfume:

Top Notes: Lychee Champagne Accord, Fizzy Mandarin, Crisp Green Apple

Middle Notes: Lush Jasmine, Muguet, Rose Bouquet, Baby Violet

Base Notes: Sheer Vanilla, Indonesian Patchoull, Amber Woods, Musk

I really enjoyed this perfume as well. I haven’t ever been to North Caroline, but have always been a sports fan :). I was so excited to see that the scent that represents them is also one that greatly appeals to me as well.

University of Oklahoma Women’s Perfume:

Top Notes: Lychee, Freesia and Valencia Oranges

Middle Notes: Rose, Lush Peony, Soft Magnolia

Base Notes: Soft Balsam, Exotic Vanilla, Patchouli

I am not from Oklahoma, but however am from the surrounding areas. I must admit that I was also a great fan of this perfume. It is a nice homey smell that works great for my day to day activities.
