Beauty is a relative term.   So many people- women and young girls, in particular, get bogged down with what the media tells them is beautiful that they forget that almost everyone has beauty about them.  (Yeah, I said “almost”.  Some people are worse off on the inside, and that doesn’t make a pretty person in my opinion.)  Beauty comes from not just your natural features, but the way one acts, and the grace one carries themselves with.  Most of us struggle with our own “beauty” now and again (or constantly) in one way or another, but we can do little things to make ourselves feel better.

Me and my favorite fella strike a pose, me in my favorite red lipstick, him without, LOL

Carrie Underwood feels better with her hair done, and when she’s done a little something with her hair.  I have to agree with her on that.  I do like the feeling of looking “polished” when I walk out the door, and I feel more ready to take on whatever comes next.  It’s a sort-of confidence builder.

I travel often, and always carry a bit of makeup with me- something that goes with all the outfits I bring (and yes, I do plan ahead so all the outfits, shoes, and make up matches- who wants to lug extra junk around? No one.) so that in case I need to spruce up, I’m ready.  Trains and planes and boats and automobiles, usually with a wily child in tow, can do a number on one, so I like to be prepared.

Check out the new Carrie Underwood video for your own inspiration.  Then let me know how you like to feel beautiful.

I am on the same page with you! Beauty is a relative term. Let your inner beauty shine on the outside!

  2. I agree, I find I have a little more OOMPH in my step when I have a little bit of makeup on. It makes me feel stronger and I tend to be a nicer person when I have a little mascara on 😉

Beauty is found within in my opinion! Granted I love to wear makeup and get dolled up and it makes me feel confident, and beautiful, but I know true beauty comes from the inside!

  4. I do feel more beautiful when I wear makeup… and I’m a makeup junkie! 🙂

I feel most beautiful when I’m happy. I can be in sweats without my hair or makeup done, but if I feel good inside, then I forget I might not look completely put together on the outside.

  6. I apply makeup daily but have not taken very good care of my hair the past couple years. I resolved to do a better job with that recently

  7. Beauty is on the inside. Thanks for sharing.

As Long As I Shower & Shave & Have Make Up On Even If To Be Around The House I Feel Good About Myself!! LOL!

I agree, it is nice to feel “finished” whether it be a touch of lipstick or a splash of perfume. But beauty is more from within then anything else.

this is how I feel,,if I take the time to look good or better then I feel better when I go out of the house, around the house,,i don’t care, but going out in public I do,,and I would never ever allow my kids/teens to go to town or shopping in their pajamas, that is such a tacky look,,that you crawled out of bed and came to the store,,it looks awful,,regardless of the age of the person
