We enjoyed our time on board the MSC Divina. Boarding was much faster and easier then I thought it would be (one thing I learned- they will tell you that you are not allowed to bring your luggage on board with you- this is not true. If you want to bring a bag so you can change clothes or medical equipment with you, you can. We waited hours for our luggage to be delivered- you live, you learn!) We checked into our room with no problem, and also signed up our son for Kids Club, with the staff making sure he got his proper ID bracelet and was placed into the right age group. The staff was all decked out for the occasion, which my son was much amused by.
Our balcony room was about 150 square feet, plus the bathroom and balcony. The balcony had two deck chairs and a table on it as well. In the room was one European King Bed and a pull out sofabed that my 6 year old son used. During the day, it was folded up to use as a couch and seating space. There was a mini fridge in the room, which you can purchase items from OR you can upgrade your package to include unlimited minibar use. I suggest it if you can, it makes things very easy and convenient. You can choose which package you get- if you have kids, I would suggest the one that is also “ice cream inclusive”, lol.
The balcony was our favorite place to spend time while in the room- which was honestly not often. There was too much to do on the ship- or off it on docked days. The bathroom has a small shower which also has a laundry line in it for bathing suits to be hung to dry, which is quite convenient. There is a TV in the room, as well as a spacious closet with hangers and drawers, with a safe you can lock inside as well. Your life vests are on top of the wardrobe, and you are required to do a “safety drill” the first day on board to make sure you and your family know how to properly use them and where to go in case of an emergency.
The food on board was amazing- no one is joking when they tell you that you will gain 10 pounds on a cruise. Besides the buffet which is open 20+ hours (and includes a pizza bar), there are 3 main restaurants, room service, steakhouse, Pizzeria, and more. There is also a sports bar, and seemingly endless bars and lounges. You can eat at your assigned table in the dining room any night you would like to for dinner at your assigned time. There are also 2 Gelato stands, and daily self serve ice cream makers on the deck.
There are three main pools, ten hot tubs, and waterpark with a waterslide for teens. My husband gave it a whirl- not so much for big guys, it was VERY slow going. Kids only, and skinny-minnies. It would have been awesome had the ship left clear directions as to which pools and hot tubs were allowed for kids and which were adult only- we were always asking and consulting our map. Most people didn’t bother, which resulted in no adult only areas, and some pretty angry adults who wanted some kid-free time (once directed at us when we were told it was a kid-friendly pool and was not- we left quickly!). Signs would be welcome. Bring life vests or swimmies of your own, they are not available on ship.

Cruising can be lots of fun, it looks like you had a great time. Did you happen to notice if their pools were handicapped accessible?
I didn’t notice- but I’m guessing they were not by the photos I have.
Hi, I was recently on a cruise on the Majesty of The Seas, an older Royal Caribbean ship. I do believe there was a handicapable lift at the main pool on that ship. But I would call before booking to make sure. I want able to get in the pool on that cruise, it was too busy.
This looks like so much fun. We have never been on a cruise. Its nice that there is so much to do.
