Sea Tow Foundation and recipes for the boat

One of the biggest names in on the sea assistance is Sea Tow.  Sea Tow are the number one choice of boaters nationwide for expert on-water assistance.  The way it works is Sea Tow is a membership service where there are certain privileges included with membership.  There is sea towing, fuel deliveries, and jump starts to name a few.  This service has a great value and piece of mind.  Out on the ocean its nice to realize there is someone who can help, Sea Tow.  Sea Tow also have some stellar recipes on their site for made for the boat food.  check out these recipes also shown below:

VEGGIE MAKI WRAP-UP

Ingredients:
6 Whole Wheat Wraps
For Hummus:
1 can of chickpeas, 15 oz can drained and rinsed
1 large lemon
1/4 cup Tahini
1 sm garlic clove minced
2 tbsp of olive oil
2 – 3 tbsp of Water
1/2 – 1 tsp salt (depending on taste)
2 carrots (large)
2 cucumbers
2 red peppers
1 avocado

Make Time: 15 Minutes – If using store bought hummus, skip to step 4
Combine Tahini and juice from the large lemon in a food processor. Mixture should appear whipped.
Add olive oil, garlic, salt and half the can of drained and rinsed chickpeas and combine until creamy. Add water to thin out consistency if desired.

Peel and julienne (slice lengthwise) carrots and cucumbers. Then slice red peppers and avocado lengthwise

Assemble! Spread 2 Tbsp on Hummus over wrap in a thin layer
Line several carrot pieces, cucumbers, red peppers and avocado head to toe on one side so they fit the length of the wrap (two finger widths from the edge)
Starting on the side with the veggies and Avocado, roll the wrap up keeping veggies tight together
Cut wrap into 4 pieces and stick a toothpick through the wrap to hold together.

KICKIN’ CORN SALAD

Ingredients:
2 cans of sweet corn
1 can of chickpeas (aka Garbanzo Beans)
1 red pepper (Large)
1 green jalapeno (Small to Medium size depending on taste for spice)
1 red onion
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Cook Time: 15 minutes
Open, drain and rinse sweet corn and chick peas in a large bowl
Deseed and chop red pepper and jalapeno pepper and red onion
Combine sweet corn, chickpeas, red pepper, jalapeno pepper and red onion in the large bowl
Add olive oil and vinegar to bowl and mix
Add salt and pepper to taste
Cover and chill in the fridge until ready to serve

NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE COCONUT ALMOND BUTTER ENERGY POPS

Ingredients:
Semi sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup of toasted coconut
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of almond butter (if you prefer to use a different nut butter – go ahead!)
1 cup of dry old fashioned oats
1/3 cup of agave syrup
1/2 cup of ground Flaxseed

Make Time: 30 minutes
Combine ingredients in a large bowl and mix together with a spoon or your hands
Put mixture in the fridge for 10-20 minutes to cool and harden slightly
Remove bowl from fridge and start rolling into 1 inch balls or whatever shape you want (to make bars, just press into a parchment lined cake pan)
Take skewer and stick one into each ball (you can even stick them through the bars lengthwise!)

  2. I have never heard of Sea Tow before. I guess it is a service that all boat owners should really think about having. I think the VEGGIE MAKI WRAP-UP sounds great. Thanks for sharing this great info!

  5. I had no idea there was such a service! Having lived by lakes we know what it’s like to run out of gas or have engine troubles. Now that we’re by the ocean, it’s great to know this service is available! I’ll have to see if they’re anywhere in MD!
