In Anna Award’s specially designed Aesop‘s Fables series, young readers build confidence in reading skills while learning valuable life lessons.
We read with my son every day, oftentimes more then one book a day. I think it’s important to read kids the classics, not just what’s trendy or fun character books. They have their place as well, but the classics are so for a reason, and not something I want my son to grow up not knowing. More and more kids don’t know any of the old stories or legends or folktales anymore, and I find that sad. Series like this, tailor made for children, make it easy to introduce your children to these fun and interesting tales, and the price is right, too.
Keep summer brain drain at bay, even for little ones! Read to them, interact with them, and keep their minds active and thinking. These large print books are great for early readers, or those learning to read as well.
The Aesop‘s Fables series specially designed by Anna Award is certain to please young readers and their parents with stimulating illustrations by Val Biro and an enjoyable opportunity to improve reading comprehension. Award’s retellings are designed to build reading confidence and comprehension in early readers, and the books in this series feature large, clear, simple text that is reinforced by illustrations. Perfectly suited for new readers, ages four and up, the updated classics are sure to be a hit. Each book is $6.95.
In the first installment, Aesop‘s Fables: The Bear and the Travellers with the Ducks and the Tortoise, readers are taught valuable lessons about friendship and life. These lessons are broken down into easy-to-understand words for young readers. Through “The Bear and the Travellers”, young readers learn about the importance of loyalty. In “The Ducks and the Tortoise”, readers explore how the grass is not always greener on the other side.
In Aesop‘s Fables: The Farmer and His Sons with The Donkey in the Lion’s Skin, young readers are introduced into more important life lessons. Through “The Farmer and His Sons”, young readers learn the value of hard work. Children are introduced to another lesson in “The Donkey in the Lion’s Skin”. They learn that clothes do not make the man, words and actions do.
Aesop‘s Fables: The Eagle and The Man with The Town Mouse and The Country Mouse introduce more classic stories to young readers. Each of these stories introduce important concepts, such as being a big fish in a small pond is its own blessing and curse, and that it is better to have little but be safe, rather than have abundance but be surrounded by danger.
These important lessons continue in Aesop‘s Fables: The Boy Who Cried Wolf with the Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs. These classic tales are made easy to understand for young readers, who will learn invaluable lessons about the value of the truth and the importance of gratitude.
In Aesop‘s Fables: The Monkey and the Fisherman with The Donkey in the Pond, young readers are left to ponder even more crucial lessons. Young readers learn about the consequences of selfishness, and the need for humility.
Aesop‘s Fables: The Fox and The Stork, with The Man, His Son, and The Donkey help young readers understand the value of hospitality and the hard truth that you cannot make everyone happy all the time.
In Aesop‘s Fables: The Hare and The Tortoise with The Sick Lion, new readers are introduced to one of Aesop‘s most famous fables and one of the most enduring lessons: slow and steady wins the race. They also learn that being observant is important, for the observant are able to adapt.
Aesop‘s Fables: The Lion and The Mouse with The Donkey and The Lapdog teach two more important lessons to new readers. These important lessons teach children that just because you’re little doesn’t mean that you cannot do great things, and that, sometimes, being yourself is the best thing you can be.
Young readers will be delighted with classics translated into an easy-to-read format. Anna Award’s specially designed interpretations provide timeless lessons that introduce children to Aesop‘s Fables in a way that is accessible to them. New readers will gain confidence and comprehension, allowing them to become avid readers.
