Summer days are nearly over, but you want to squeeze every last bit of fun out of the days you have left.  Check out these fun additions to anyone’s toy chest before the cool fall weather hits- and then keep right on using them.

One of the toy “fads” we have noticed this year has been “gross” toys- things that poop, blow snot, pass gas- you name it.  If your children are as into this as most seem to be, you will want to take a look at these two toys.  First is Poo Dough, which is just what it sounds like.  You and your children (and don’t even pretend that dad isn’t going to get in on this, perhaps even take it to work on Monday to bother his coworkers with) will have way too much fum molding poop-shaped creations with this kit. It’s completely disgusting- in a really fun way.  It gets worse- it comes in two shades of brown, and (drumroll, please) molds for corn and peanuts to be added.  Oh, and yellow dough as well. Yep, you are all set for hours of gross-out fun.  And really, everyone will have way too much enjoyment of of this- I’ve never in my life met a child or a man of any age that can resist a little bathroom humor.  Best just roll with it.  Available for about $8 in stores like Toys R Us, Amazon, and Walmart.

If you are still in the mood to be rude, try out the Fart Piano.  Again, the name pretty much says it all.  Each key on the gassy piano plays a different “note” or sound effect.  Not only can it pass gas- oh no- but it can also cough, belch, and sneeze in over 10 ways.  Between my 6 year old son and my husband, I thought one of them was going to pass out laughing while they played with it.  They brought it out for every single guest that came over for quite some time as well(yes, I was so proud).  It also comes with music sheets for your musical enjoyment.  Available for about $20 on Amazon and Toys R Us.

The FUZE Cyclone Water Blaster is perfect for these hot days, and also to encourage kids to get outside to play.  It has a motorized water blaster that is mounted onto the handlebars of most bikes easily.  Kids (or the kid in any adult) can shoot up to 25 feet away, all while pedaling.  Water is sprayed in any direction that the rider wants up to 180 degrees. Get your friends, siblings, and parents soaking wet as you ride by each other.  Grab one for everyone and let the games begin.  Avaible for $25 at Walmart.

Another awesome bicycle accessory is the FUZE Bike Bubbler, which is attached to the underside of most bikes with very little effort. It (like the water blaster) is motorized, and shoots a stream of bubbles out from beneath the seat of your bike.  My son was tickled with this, both because of the bubbles and because he said it looked like his “bike was pooping soap”.  Back to that whole gross thing again….but at least this time, it’s clean, yes?  Just fill the bubbles up one time (any standard bubbles will do), and you are good to go for roughly 20-25 minutes at a time.   You can also use the Bubbler without a bike if you would like some more bubble fun, but got tired of pedaling. Hey, it happens.  The FUZE Bike Bubbler comes with one 4 ounce bottle of bubbles, and is available for $15 at www.SkyrocketToys.com or www.FuzeBikeFX.com.

Remember View Master from when you were a kid?  Now they are back with new designs and characters to appeal to this generation of kids- but don’t worry, the original style is still available. For anyone that forgets the 80’s (or whenever your childhood was, for whatever reason, we don’t judge) View Masters are awesome little pieces of low tech, high fun awesome in which you place a plastic and cardboard “story reel” full of images (which made me feel like a movie creator as a kid) into a slot on the View Master, and you push a little lever down to make the story progress.  75 years old this year, these new versions are updated with brighter images and fun new designs like Despicable Me and Hello Kitty.  Gift sets come with a View Master, three story reels, and a handy-don’t-lose-them storage case. Available in many stores and Amazon for about $15.
