Here is another craft that I have been wanting to do for quite awhile. I have seen several similar door decorations and have always wanted to have one. Somehow no matter how many times I went to Hobby Lobby and how many different ones I went to, they never had an ‘F’. I could hardly contain myself from doing a little dance when I finally found my ‘F’.
This project is probably one of the easiest crafts that I have ever seen or made myself.
Supplies Needed:
- Large Initial Letter
- Spray Paint in any color of your choice
- Wide Ribbon (I am a fan of the burlap ribbons)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Twine to use to hang the letter
- Staple Gun
How-To:
- Spray paint your letter in whichever color you choose.
- While that is drying, get started on making your bow.
- First, I made a big bow with just two loops and long dangles
- Then I made a knot with the ribbon and tied it around the center of the bow
- When your letter is dry, find a good spot to put your bow.
- Hot Glue your bow onto the letter
- Cut a piece of twine long enough to place the letter where you would like it
- Use a staple gun to attach the twine to the back of the letter
** From start to finish this project probably took around 30-40 minutes.
I honestly think that this is definitely a project that anyone can make. I have one for my front door, but I think I might do another in a coordinating color to hang in our basement with some pictures that we have on the wall.
If you decide to make one I would love to see pictures of it. Please add them to the wall on our Facebook page to share how yours turned out.
That is a cute idea! I haven’t made any new door decorations in years – this inspires me, as it isn’t too hard or too expensive!!!
