I have been having a lot of fun working on doing some fall crafts for my house. I thought that I would share this quick, easy craft with you. I have had a lot of fun working on different crafts lately. I have always enjoyed doing crafts, but haven’t really taken the time to do any crafts since I had girls.

Supplies:

  • Roll of Burlap
  • Raffia
  • Black and White Paint
  • Letter Stencils
  • Foam Brushes
  • Roll of Twine
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Patience 😉

**I had the majority of the supplies for this project already on hand, so there wasn’t really an added expense for me.

How To:

  1. Using your stencils, decide how big you want your pieces of Burlap to be.
  2. Cut Burlap squares/rectangles (however many you need based on the word you decide to use)
  3. Lay out your stencil and use black paint to paint all of your letters onto the burlap
  4. I used the end of my foam paint brush to add white polka dots onto the burlap until it looked right
  5. Lay them out upside down and hot glue twine to the back of each of the squares
  6. Tie a piece of Raffia in between each of the letters
  7. Find a spot to hang and enjoy!

You could use a variety of other words on yours to personalize it for your home. I think that a short word would look great on a door as well, but I wanted something to hang on my mantel place.

I really enjoyed doing this craft, and honestly it doesn’t really take any fancy skills at all to complete this awesome project. My daughters want us to come up with a variation of this for their play room, but I’m still trying to decide on a theme for the playroom. Any thoughts or ideas?  Please share, I’d love some new ideas.
