Easter is around the corner so its time for those last minute basket fillers. What better way to make your little one’s day then with a Skylanders Easter? Skylanders are available in special limited release Easter versions of some of your favorite characters and even a special trap for the newest Skylanders game, Trap Team. Skylanders have always blended their toys and games in fun ways, and this newest game turns it up a notch. The premise of Trap Team is, by using the newest portal, portal masters, the players can now capture bosses from the game and call upon them to use in the game itself. It is an interesting concept and makes for a very interactive gaming experiences, even further blending reality with the digital world of Skylanders.
The new Easter limited edition Skylanders are two fold, one is this year’s official mascot for the Annual Dragon Egg Hunt, Eggsellent Weeruptor. Weerupter is a bit of a trouble maker who captured Spyro, Cynder and Drobot inside a Traptanium basket after disguising himself as a candy coated egg. Sure, it isn’t the best way to celebrate Easter but it does make for an ‘Eggsellent’ adventure.
Next up is Power Punch Jet-Vac. Je-Vac is a selfless hero who gave up his all important wings to save a young mother in his homeland when it was raided. Master Eon caught wind of this and gave Jet-Vac his powerful vacuum which allows him to soar through the air once again.
Last but not least is the new Bunny Earth Trap,- this trap is one of the most unique by sporting a cute bunny design on top of it which is a stark contrast to the regular single colors traps.
These new Easter Skylanders were release with a whole plethora of new Trap Masters as well including Short Cut and Thunderbolt. There are also new regular Skylanders as well, Bat Spin, Echo, High Five and my personal favorite Rocky Roll.
Furthermore, Skylanders Trap Team has partnered with Crayola on a special edition Color Alive! Starter Pack! The packs, available now, allow kids to bring coloring to life on tablets or smartphones through Crayola’s new Color Alive! 4D Experience augmented reality technology. The limited edition packaging features unique black and white line art of Skylanders characters for Portal Masters to color using Crayola’s Crayons included in the Starter Pack.
These new Skylanders are available now and can be found at fine stores everywhere, so be sure to grab them up before they are captured by another player.
My kids were too old when Skylanders came out so we never got into them. It’s cute that they made some in Easter Eggs. Great marketing.
My youngest used to LOVE these. These bring back so many memories. Hopefully my other boys will also want them. I would not mind adding to the collection.
I have to see if I am able to track these down tomorrow. THey are so perfect for Easter.
I don’t know much about Skylanders yet. I have a 7 year old girl and 2 year old boy. But these are cute. I love when companies put out special toys for the Easter basket!
