Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh for those Crazy Days

You know those days when everything seems to be a chore?  The kids are being pests, your stove is on the fritz, the internet is going haywire, and your spouse is running late?  We all have them.  OscarMayer (jokingly) created funny tarot cards to give moms a “peek” into their future to help them prepare for the chaos ahead as part of their new Deli Fresh Sanewich campaign. You can think of it a little like a HORRORscope. Get it?  Kidding.  Life with kids is never a horror, is it?  (Cue corney music.)

What’s up with “Sanewich”?  Oscar Mayer developed this campaign because they noticed so many things in the world are unnecessarily complicated. In these situations, it’s good to know that Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh can keep it simple and provide deli quality lunch meats anytime.  Like, you know, those dinners when you have exactly 11 seconds to get it together?  Perfect for those.

So, ever have one of those days where your kid only wants to watch one DVD for about 200 hours on end?  If you are lucky, you can possibly convince them to take breaks to use the bathroom and eat something.  I don’t worry about it too much on horrible, winter days when there isn’t much to do anyway (and it’s just once in a while), but on a beautiful spring day like today?  If that were to happen on a nice day, or if we had things to do- yeah, get over it kiddo.  If it looks like it’s going to be a war, not a battle, I let the electric company take the brunt- as in “Oh no!  What?  We’ve lost power?  (as I turn off the circuit breakers).  Looks like the perfect time to go do (that thing we had to do, or play outside while I “make phone calls to get it back on”, etc) something else!  I’m sure they will have the power back on by the time we get back, yeah?  Let’s go!

Yeah.  I’m a genius. Feel free to take that one and run with it. Hey- mom’s have to be crafty, yes?  And sometimes it’s not worth the tears and fighting.
