The moment has finally arrived! After months of careful planning, you think you’ve found the ideal spot for first class cabin wilderness living. As your family reunion, honeymoon get-away or annual vacation time approaches, you’re still not sure of what you will find when you get to that much dreamed about destination spot.
Having surfed the online web sites offering magnificent cabin lodgings for that special trip of yours, how can you be sure everything is as advertised online? Well, you can’t really, but let us set the stage for you by giving some helpful tips to make that cabin excursion a wonderful experience to last a last time.
– Don’t settle for just one or two cabin sites. The Internet is full of travel destination spots, especially those offering beautifully photographed cabin accommodations. However, if the truth be known, not all hold up off a web page.
Fortunately, some sites such as the cabins in Broken Bow Ouachita and Kiamichi Mountain Wilderness in southeastern Oklahoma, stand up to their excellent reputation and can back up what their web site offers.
If You Can Dream It, It’s Available
Billiard tables, pet-friendly cabins, choice of a Whirlpool bathtub or Jacuzzi, fireplace, swimming pool, dryer/washer, designer ranch-style kitchens, WiFi, secluded acreage on lakefront sites, balconies and/or mountain panoramic views are all available to those who look for these features.
How About Other Natural Perks?
No matter how delightful a setting is, if you don’t have what you can’t do without, what good is it? Natural winding trails, fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boats, playgrounds/campgrounds and horseback riding will whet your appetite from the moment of your arrival at the cabin site. Local train rides, bike trails, hiking trails and other attractions also come as part of the package with many cabin wilderness spots.
– That said, be sure to check for what’s in your surrounding cabin area.
The Price, Oh Yes, The Price!
– When making reservations online, a quality online calendar and reservation form should display the going rates, special discounts and dates of availability based on the number of guests, the room accommodations, the length of the stay and whether it will be on a weekend or a holiday.
– Be certain to keep abreast of any changes in reservations by regularly contacting the reservationist and confirming the date or any changes. Yes, there are online interactive forms that can be filled out, but a phone call sometimes can be more accurate than perhaps a non updated web page.
Now, having done all that is possible for your carefully chosen and researched wilderness cabin site vacation, you’ll be ready for the lush, green dense forests, pine trees and invigorating fresh air.
