Summer is upon us, and as such it is time for thrills and spills. In our family there are two basic groups- roller coaster lovers and non roller coaster lovers. My husband loves all kinds of roller coasters, and a trip to an amusement park has to include at least one roller coaster ride while there. My son has been enjoying them more as he gets older. Me, I can’t go on many (they make me sick, sorry!)
For those of us who don’t enjoy feeling our stomachs come up to our throats and want some easier going rides, No problem. There are also plenty in the children’s area with lots of characters and tons of fun. Dorney Park delivers. With 8 roller coasters, there are thrills for everyone- from little ones who want to get their first roller coaster under their belt with The Woodstock Express, to the big thrills of the new Hydra and the newly refurbished ThunderHawk. There is also Planet Snoopy, which is full of fun for little ones with rides like the Camp Bus, Flying Ace, and Kite Eating Tree. For family friendly fun for everyone, there are the Cedar Creek Flyers, the Antique Carousel, Ferris Wheel, and the Sea Dragon.
What we really like about Dorney Park is its close proximity to most of us in the tri-state area. It is located in nearby Allentown, Pa. The most exciting part is that the park is set to open soon, with opening day on the weekend of April 30-May 1. There is also a special preview night April 29th from 5 pm to 9 pm to check out all the attractions and be one of the first in the park this season. There are tons of events running all Summer long starting the second weekend of May (May 13). Every Friday there will be a battle of the bands with local unsigned artists duling it out for a cash prizes and a full set at Musikfest.
So go out and enjoy yourself this weekend at Dorney Park, you can even purchase your Dorney Park Tickets online if you so choose.
this sounds like it will be so much fun for your family and many other families in the area! I bet this would be a great place to take family and friends when they visit!
That sounds like fun
