I am always a big ‘ole sucker for items that are personalized. I must say that you absolutely can’t go wrong with any of the Name Puzzle Stools that Damhorst Toys has to offer. I received the Large Name Puzzle Stool and have been completely impressed.

About Damhorst Toys:

The Damhorst Toys company is currently owned by Kris Damhorst and his sister Megin Cassimatis. Their
parents, Don and Carol Damhorst, started making unique handmade wooden puzzles in 1971 for them as children. They observed how much those puzzles taught them perception, problem solving and patience. It was great for them to see how these toys gave them such a great sense of accomplishment.

Soon, many friends started asking for items to be made for them. A little while later, they started selling their toys and puzzles in St.Louis specialty shops. In the early 70’s, Don and Carol began exhibiting at Art & Craft fairs throughout the country, meeting other craftspeople and future customers.

In February of 1998, they moved the business out of their home and to a much larger shop in Hermann, Missouri. In 2004 Megin and Kris took over ownership full time.
